I keep skipping weeks. Last Monday was Victoria Day. I don’t know who this ‘Victoria’ is but I’m glad she was born to give me the day off. Since it was a holiday, I was busy with various family activities. I also had alcohol and hockey related issues to deal with. Playoffs. Whadya gonna do? How about this, from now on, if it’s a holiday Monday, I won’t do a Music Monday… Unless I do, if I feel like it. Today is not a holiday. I have 3 songs for you.

Cage The Elephant - Right Before My Eyes
It took me a while before I really got a good chance to listen to their new album Thank You, Happy Birthday but I’m glad I did. I was a big fan of their self-titled first album. It had a lot of energy and heart that I feel is always lacking in music today. I went to one of their concerts once and I showed up late and missed them play. I’m excited I get another chance to see them at the end of June when they are co-headlining with the Black Keys.
