I wrote this while sitting on the Prairie Chicken hill at the University of Calgary and there were a couple of things I realized :

1.       Having the internet outside is probably one of man’s coolest creations. The university is so nice in the summer. It’s too bad that we can’t have this weather all the time.

2.       Can I see my screen in direct sunlight while wearing sunglasses? Not really. Do I look super cool while looking busy on a laptop outside? Eh, probably not actually.

3.      So many UGG boots. UGG! I’ve decided that I will only accept the wearing of UGG boots in the summer if you are otherwise completely naked.

4.       Girls are catty and gossipy.  Shut up you two over there. No one cares. Yeah, you. OH Shi— they see me! Try and look busy and cool.

I have 2 songs today. Neither of them are really new.

The Tallest Man on Earth –Burden of Tomorrow 

This song is actually off the latest album by the TMoE which came out in 2010 and I find that every time I listen to this album I find a new song that I love.

Music Monday: Too Afraid to Love You -The Black Keys.

So this week I’m highlighting a song by a band I’m just getting into now. I know I’m slow to the draw (this album came out in May), but there’s just too much music to listen to nowadays what with all the internets and those other things that suggest you music… what are they called… oh yeah, friends. Anyways, this is a great song on a great album which I’ve been listening to all day. If you like what you hear, I highly recommend listening to this album, Brothers. The band itself is blues-y/indie rock but their beats sound very hip-hop inspired. I’m not a huge rap guy but it’s a nice change of pace.
